It is our pleasure to announce that 47 Degrees will be sponsoring and attending the next Scala Madrid meetup on Thursday the 16th of April.
The event will be held at the Tuenti offices in Madrid in conjunction with the MadridJUG (Java Users Group). We are fortunate to have special guest Jamie Allen, Senior Director of Global Services at Typesafe giving his talk entitled “JVM Mutability Matrix of Pain & What You Need to Know about Lambdas”. Jamie will talk about two major issues on the interplay between Scala and the JVM, namely mutability and Lambdas.
We are really looking forward to this talk and meeting more of you interested in functional programming. Come thirsty and hungry because we are providing some awesome food and drink. We will be pouring Maier beer (a typical beer from Cadiz, where we have our office in Spain) and serving up some delicious Galician empanadas.
As always, it is a pleasure to be part of the growing Scala community in Spain and to help in evangelizing its adoption worldwide!
Make sure and come chat with us at the event!
